Elrita is an experienced horse person with first hand knowledge with a variety of breeds and equine disciplines. As a lifelong equestrian with knowledge of equine movements, she can capture the best in your horse via her photography. She has over 40 years of experience with horses and has personally ridden and shown different breeds and disciplines. She started her show career at seven with short stirrup, progressed to hunt seat equitation and has shown in other disciplines since that time. For many years, Elrita showed Class A Arabians. She has also trained in reining, cutting and roping plus obtained her foundation quarter horse judge’s card and has judged these events. Elrita has no breed prejudice and captures the fine qualities of all horses in her photos. Currently Annett Farms is home to Welsh ponies, Quarter Horses, Standardbreds and a Paint (Mirina’s horse). Not to mention cats, dogs and a couple of potbelly pigs! In 2002, Elrita’s Welsh gelding, Southwind Sea Shanty was 3rd high point nationally with the WPSCA as well as being WPSCA American National Grand Champion Section A Gelding and Reserve Supreme Gelding under one judge and American National Reserve Champion Section A gelding under one judge. This is not just any horse, as Elrita has beautifully shown in her photos. The Standardbreds are just as beautiful and do their part to earn the keep for the show horses! A picture is worth a thousand words....please browse the photo gallery for examples of Elrita’s talent in equine photography. Please also browse the galleries for photos by Mirina Brown. Mirina Brown is Elrita’s daughter and has a great eye for photographing a horse too! |
